B.J. and Shanna Adams mark second anniversary

Happy anniversary to B.J and Shanna Adams of Carcassonne. It was their second on March 25. Both their kids, Miss Em and Gavin, have had strep throat and high fevers but are doing better now.

There was a mistake in the paper last week. It said B.J and Shanna Fugate, but their last name is Adams. Sorry.

My son, Justin, and Ethan Brown went to the Pikeville Expo Center and saw Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin in concert. They had a good time.

Happy birthday to Allen “Dock” Fugate of Blackey. It was on March 24.

All my family got together for Easter and had a big dinner and the little ones hunted eggs. A cousin, Christine Lannin, and her daughter, Kelly, were in from Indiana. They came in on Thursday and went back on Monday. Some of us went to the flea market in Hazard and out to eat on Saturday.

My mom, Jean, had to have some tests done at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital and she ran into Eli Shepherd of Red Star. He said he had been sick with pneumonia bronchitis and now had shingles, which, from what I’ve heard, can be really painful.

Tommy Halcomb of Carcassonne, had to be taken by ambulance to WARH. He was having trouble with his breathing again.

On March 15, my parents, Pnut and Jean Blair, and Tammy Whitaker of Blackey, attended a Easter cantata at the Kingscreek Church. They said they had a nice time.

Greg Dixon of Michigan, came in over Easter weekend and spent it with his mother, Stella Dixon, and family of Blackey.

Opal Jent of Carcassonne, is out of the hospital and doing better. She said her brother-in-law, Archie Wayne Fields of Cowan, had to be put in WARH. They think it might be his appendix. He is married to Opal’s sister, Missy.

Diane Johnson of Knott County, formerly of Carbon Glow, is in Hazard Hospital and is not doing well. She has colon cancer so Diane and her family need everyone’s prayers.

Courtney Adams of Blair Branch, had to be taken to the hospital with some health problems. I hope he feels better soon.
