The trip for the weekend down to Smoke Signals Bakery was intense and thought provoking. We worked under the direction of Tara Jansen, author and baker. We came away with handson experience in firing, maintaining temperature, and baking in a wood-fired oven. The fruits of our labor are amazing, tasty, and fun.

Come and get some Black Sheep School House Rolls at the Letcher County Farmer’s Market this coming Saturday at Cowan Community Center from 1 to 5 p.m.
