We recently had a few birthdays in our families.
Dan, Coreen Pridemore, Bob and I all went to London to help Jessie Banks Scott celebrate her birthday. We met Jessie and Andy on April 2 at Golden Corral and had dinner together.
Kenny Joe Banks had a birthday on April 5, and we enjoyed a ‘mess’ of fried fish that Toby Breeding had caught while wintering in Florida.
Sue Goodson and Hunter Banks also had birthdays, and Coreen Pridemore will have one at the end of the month.
Hope Mattie Lou Back is doing better after a recent hospital stay. She was getting to come home last weekend.
We’ve all been concerned about Darryl Boggs and hope he is doing better.
Bob stopped in at Bill and Joyce Adams’s and Bill was feeling better. He, too, had recently been in the hospital.
Lee and Wilma Pridemore spent a couple of nights in the Smoky Mountains celebrating their anniversary. They later spent the night in Ohio, visiting Bill and Elva Marshall and Ray and Billie Smith.
Don and Coreen Pridemore and I went to Somerset last Thursday and visited with Juanita McCrarey.
Everyone is enjoying the nice, spring weather and it’s so pretty with the redbud and other trees blooming.
The sunrise service at Burton Hill Cemetery will begin at 7 a.m., and all are welcome to attend.
This weekend will be meeting time at Blair Branch Church, and after our Union Meeting on Sunday, we will be serving dinner for all who would like to stay and eat. Everyone is welcome.
Have a good Easter weekend, and God bless you all.
