Barbara Jean Ratliff is buried at Ermine




Funeral services for Barbara Jean Ratliff, 55, of Jenkins, were held April 7. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Born in Jenkins, she was a daughter of the late Alfred Sr. and Emma Jean Walker and the widow of Charles Ratliff. She was a sister of the late Danny Walker.

She died April 4 in Jenkins.

Mrs. Ratliff was a nurse and worked between Jenkins Community Hospital and the Dickenson County Medical Center for more than 24 years. She also worked as a home health nurse. She was a member of the People’s Fundamental Baptist Church in Dunham.

Surviving are two daughters, Alfreda Davis, Mohawk, Tenn., and Coetta Rose, Jenkins; a son, David Wayne Walker Jr., Jenkins; three stepchildren, Sandy Kelly, Elkhorn Creek; Charles Ratliff Jr., Millstone; and Steven Ratliff, Spring Hill, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Baylee, Emilee and Lindsey Rose, all of Jenkins; four stepgrandchildren, David Charles Long, Chicago, Ill.; Kimberly Wenger, Bozeman, Mont.; Logan Ratliff and Kelly Ratliff, both of Millstone; two adopted grandchildren, John Casey Poore and Kevin Wade Fair, both of Mohawk, Tenn.; two sisters, Marlene Seymore, Jefferson City, Tenn., and Lisa Walker, Gatlinburg, Tenn.; and four brothers, Kyle Walker, Joe Walker, Alfred Walker, and David Walker, all of Jenkins.

Carty Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
