Barter Players to present ‘The Scarlet Letter’ Feb. 1



Pro-Art Association opens the second half of its 2009-2010 season with presentations Monday, Feb. 1 in both Big Stone Gap and Wise, Va. The Barter Players will stage Nathaniel Hawthorne’s ‘The Scarlet Letter’.

The first performance is at 12:15 p.m. in Mountain Empire Community College’s Goodloe Center, presented and sponsored by Pro-Art and MECC as part of the Mountain Empire Community College Cultural Arts Series.

The curtain will rise that evening at 7:30 in the UVa-Wise Gilliam Center for the Arts, for a program presented and sponsored by Pro-Art and UVa-Wise as part of the University of Virginia’s College at Wise Cultural Arts Series.

Admission is free for both performances.
