Bentley rites held



Denver Lee ‘Peanut’ Bentley, 63, died October 30 at his home at Jackhorn.

Born at Etty to the late Walter and Rhonda Johnson Bentley, he was a brother of the late Walter ‘Bloss’ Bentley, Edd Bentley, and Diane Sue Bentley McFall.

He was retired from the Letcher County Board of Education after working 27 years as a janitor.

Surviving are his wife Irene Adams Bentley; two daughters, Stephanie Bentley and Melanie Bentley, both of Jackhorn; two brothers, Denzil Bentley and Lester Bentley, both of Jackhorn; two grandchildren, Denver Shane Bentley and Haley Sierra Cheyenne Bentley; and friends Paul Fleming Jr., Delmar Isaac, and Jason Taylor.

Funeral services were held yesterday (Tuesday), November 2, at the Church of God in Fleming-Neon. Burial was in Haven of Rest Cemetery in Whitesburg.
