Bible School is in fourth generation

Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church had Vacation Bible School last week. We were blessed with good children and good weather. The children who attended were ages six months to 13 years old. The children and adults had a good time and learned about the Bible.

Thank you, Glennis and Charlie Little and Tony and Tonya Little, and the others who helped, for another successful Bible School. The church has been holding Bible Schools for four generations now.

Tori, Rusty, Callie and Ella Akers spent a week at Walt Disney Resort. During the week they went to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot Center, and Hollywood Studio. They had breakfast with Cinderella at her palace, lunch with Playhouse Disney Characters, and dinner with Mickey Mouse and his friends.

Ella’s favorite thing was meeting Cinderella. Callie’s was riding the Haunted Mansion and the Tower of Terror. They all had a good time.

John and Barbara Banks, Carol Caudill and Tori, Callie and Ella Akers all attended church at Primitive Baptist Church Sunday. John Banks and Richard Seiber preached.

After church dinner was served by the women of the church. In the afternoon three new members were baptized in the Powell River by John Banks and Burnice Sybert.

J. T. Caudill, Robert, Sherrie, Bradley and Joseph Brown, and Jacob Farley all spent the weekend at their house on Cherokee Lake. J.T.’s son, Doug Caudill of Alabama, met them at the lake. They went fishing and swimming, and reported they ate too much, and that they all had a good time.

Don’t forget the Gibson family reunion this Saturday at the Cowan Community Center. We hope to see many of the descendants and relatives of Hop and Minerva Gibson
