Big rock and roll show to be held in Whitesburg

Congratulations to Brittany and Bill Blair of Red Star on the birth of their son. Dylan Michael was born on August 30. He weighed 7 pounds, 12 ounces and was 19 and 1/4 inches long. His grandparents are Rhonda and Sherman Hampton of Red Star, Carol Blair of Blair Branch, and Bill and Olivia Blair of Eolia. They have a little girl, Karli, who is 3.

My sister and I visited with our cousin, Eric Back, at Letcher Manor Nursing Home. He is doing okay. They had taken off the end of one of his fingers. He had a virus that was making feel a little bad.

Wallace Lee Hall is in the room with him. His wife is recovering from a foot injury and can’t take care of him. Wallace Lee has had both his legs taken off, just like Eric.

Arthur, Gwen and Simon Christen of Redfox, and Mary Ann Morgan of Isom, left on Friday to go to North Carolina. They were going to a Bible camp that is in the Blue Ridge Mountains called The Wild. They came back on Monday.

David Jent of Carcassonne, was in the hospital at Whitesburg then had to be taken to Lexington for a few days. They think he had a reaction to his medicine for his heart. David has a pacemaker. He said he had a rough time but is home and doing better now.

Vanes Smith of Carcassonne was in Whitesburg Hospital. She was having problems with her oxygen levels. She is the daughter of Ray and Ella Mae Smith.

Also, Virgil Combs of Carcassonne, was in the hospital. He has breathing problems and has to be in every so often.
