Billy Ray “Tooty” Taylor, 84, died March 16 at Letcher Manor Nursing Home in Whitesburg.
Born in Whitaker to the late James Blaine and Betha Ellen Taylor, he was the widower of Wilma Jean King Taylor.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Clarence, Otis, Bernard, Nippy, Lonnie, Bobby, James, Donnie, Effie and Viola Henderson.
He had worked for Ford Motor Co. and Beth Elkhorn Corp., and was co-owner of Taylor Brothers Used Cars.
Surviving are two sons, Stevie Taylor and wife Debbie of Whitaker, and Michael Taylor and wife Trulia of Georgetown; a daughter, Sabrina Taylor of Whitaker; a grandson, Brandon Craft of Pikeville; two granddaughters, Brooke Holbrook of Whitaker, and Tiffany Kiser and fiancé Coty and daughter Lily, all of Norton, Va.; four sisters Elsie Ryan of Cromona, Faye Bolling of Pound, Va., Carolyn Spangler of Neon, and Elaine Kelly of Jenkins; and two brothers, Eugene Phillips and Freddie Taylor, both of Kona.
Funeral services for Mr. Taylor were held March 18 at the Seco Freewill Baptist Church. Burial was in the Whitaker Cemetery at Seco.
Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
