Hello again! Hope you are all doing well.

Today is Larry Hatton’s birthday. I hope it’s a good one All my four boys love their birthdays. It makes them feel special. To me, they are always special.

Whitesburg

I had a nice visit with my sister Joann and her husband Donald Brown of Indiana. They were in for two relatives’ funerals. We went to Dairy Queen. I ran into my sister Kathleen Brock and her family and we had a nice visit.

I also saw Bro. Richard Hampton and wife Joyce there. I was glad to see them. I’ve known them for a lot of years and get to see them on TV for the gospel program at Beattyville.

It was nice seeing Rose Kirkland at Food City the other day. I hadn’t seen her since her late husband Paul Kirkland and she had the furniture store in Whitesburg. We still knew each other after all those years.

I enjoyed a call from Wanda Pratt, whom I had never met. She said she felt like she knew me from The Mountain Eagle. I told her she knew me for that’s who I am.

My sister Betty Tyree came out for a visit the other day and I enjoyed it. People don’t visit much anymore. They visit of Facebook. I’ve never gotten into that.

My sister Louise Shepherd is a patient in Whitesburg Hospital. She had a lot of visitors, Hubert and Joyce Howard, Jack Howard, Zack Day and his wife, Pam Gardner of Wise, Va., Carol Day and of course sweet little “Minnie” and Kathleen Miles and Betty Tyree.

I always enjoy my call from my son Rob. He is doing better after his hip surgery he had in a Louisville hospital. He’s been tied down.

My son Billy is at his lake house this weekend. His wife Sandra is on a trip with her mother Maggie Cook and sister Earnestine Franks to visit Maggie’s sister Carol.

I’m looking forward to church this evening. Bro. David Miller will be preaching for us. He has been a good friend of ours for many years. He is the pastor of a great church in Ohio. He still comes to visit us.

I appreciate my pastor, Bro. John Conn, for taking me to the church on Cumberland River where Bro. Caleb Howard is pastor to hear Bro. David Miller. We really enjoyed it and the church is beautiful!

I think fall is coming. It’s cool in the evening. I hate to see the leaves fall. It is so pretty now.

There hasn’t been much going on around here so there’s not much to write about.

May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere this week if you are able.
