B.J., Shanna, Miss Em and Gavin Adams of Carcassonne, went to Virginia Saturday evening to attend a wedding. Tara, the daughter of Rory Blair of Vicco and Loretta Mullins of Tennessee, was married.

This news is from Mary Campbell. The Floyd and Rebecca Back reunion was held July 14. Ninety-six attended, Floyd and Rebecca’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, also nieces and nephews. All really enjoyed it. Mary didn’t let me know in the letter exactly where the reunion was held.

We had family in over the weekend. My cousin, Christine Lannin, her husband Carey, and daughter Kelly came in from Indiana. They had attended a concert in Somerset and came here on Saturday and left on Monday. Christine is the daughter of my late uncle, Murphy Blair.

Eric Back is back at Letcher Manor Nursing Home. He had been in Pikeville. He is doing a little better.

Laureen Leeann Adams had to be taken to the emergency room at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital early Thursday morning. She had a high fever for a few days that wasn’t going down with medicine. I talked to her mom, Leslie, and she said she was now doing better. Laureen just turned two.

Happy birthday to Autumn Skyy Madden of Crases Branch. She turns three on July 27. She is the daughter of Tim and Donella Madden and has an older sister, Summer, and a younger brother, Blake.

Robert Halcomb of Isom, was ordained at the Blair Branch church on July 21. Robert is such a very good person. All our family are happy for him.

Bud Arnold celebrated his 71st birthday July 13. This year he had two birthday cakes, a red velvet cake from his daughter, Joni, and a marble cake from his son-in-law, Stanley Dixon. He is the father of Joni Arnold Dixon of Elk Creek, the late Buddy Arnold, formerly of Sandlick, and Tim Arnold of Tell City, Ind. He is the grandfather of Effie Arnold Quillen of Sandlick, and Marty and Zachary Arnold of Indianapolis, Ind. He is the great-grandfather of Derrick Cole martin of Sandlick. We wish him many more happy birthdays!
