Hope this week finds everyone doing well.
Before you know it all the pretty leaves will start to fall and Halloween will be here.
We had a very good church service and a large crowd attending at Blair Branch Church this past Sunday. After services Matthew Eldridge and Charlotte Gibson were baptized.
Matthew took his membership at Cowan Regular Baptist Church. It was a beautiful day, despite being a little chilly, for their baptism.
The Doermann Presbyterian Church at Blackey celebrated its 100-year anniversary on Sunday with former pastors David Jones and Tim Maxa in attendance for the celebration. All enjoyed attending for services, dinner and fellowship.
If you need or like to look for antiques and the like, don’t forget about Gwen’s Country Attic’s antique sale at Calvary College’s gymnasium. It will be Friday and Saturday, and only costs $3 per person to look through the 20-something booths.
Sorry to learn that Tessie Johnson of Carbon Glow, had died. Our sympathy to the family.
