Everyone is getting excited about Blackey Day Oct. 16. The music is lined up from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Violet has an awesome lineup, a bunch of very talented people.
Then there will be the cakewalk and the inflatables and the Shriner train sponsored by Judge Jim Ward.
We have lots of good stuff for the silent auction. We have 20 craft and food booths scheduled, and we have room for a few more, but they are filling up fast. If you need a booth, call me at (606) 632-3777 or 791-8796.
We are excited about Blackey Day. We think it’s going to be the best one ever. We will have our next meeting Oct. 1. If you want to get involved in Blackey Day, come join us at the Blackey Improvement Committee at the Blackey Library at 6 p.m.
We have our t-shirts and sweatshirts and they are beautiful with the picture of the old Blackey Grade School. We got hats and sold them all at the meeting. We ordered more. Kathy Back has the shirts at Kat’s Barber Shop at Blackey.
So plan on bringing your chairs and come home to Blackey Day Oct. 16. Bring your family and friends. Come visit with us and spend the day.
