We thought we would report in, as it’s been awhile.
We have done several things since the last report. We went to Camp Nathanael and had a good program and enjoyed it very much. Our site manager won a real nice painting, all of our center loved it.
On our way back we stopped and bought green beans and produce. We had a real good lunch there.
We went shopping once, and we went to the Senior Games in the Knott County Sports Center. We won several medals.
We went to Whitesburg and watched ‘The Wizard of Oz’ at the high school. This was really nice, and the young people really have talent. We had lunch at Dairy Queen, and really enjoyed the day.
Of course, we have had several potluck days. It’s always a good dinner, and we really appreciated the pretty cake that Reed sends down.
May 28 there was the Senior Prom. All centers took part in it, and it was very nice.
We are very sad to lose Ollie James Back. He was a blessing to our center. His wife Gay is a very sweet person, and his sons showed such courage and devoted love.Th
e seniors went to Wise, Va., shopping on June 11, and then to the flea market. They decide to eat at Wendy’s most times. The group decides where they want to eat.
I didn’t go because I was very sick, and missed it very much. We have such good seniors.
We are planning our July 4 program on Friday, July 2.
We had the visitors again this year from Alabama, and they brought games and gifts, and were loved by everyone.
