Blairs celebrate 21st wedding anniversary

Blackey

First thing, I want to thank Benji and Robin Jent of Elk Creek for helping me out Friday. My battery went dead and I was stuck on the road and they stopped and helped me. It made them late for Benji’s doctor’s appointment in Tennessee, so I just wanted them to know I really appreciated it.

Happy birthday to my great-niece Ava Golden Abbinanti. She turned 7 on August 13. She is the daughter of Jessica Dixon of Elk Creek and Craig abbinanti of Whitesburg and granddaughter of David and Terry Dixon of Carcassonne and Janice Reed of Whitesburg. She had a party on Sunday at her home with all the family.

Happy birthday to her granny, my sister Terry Dixon of Carcassonne. It is on August 15. She would kill me if I give her age, let’s just say she is getting up there.

Happy anniversary to Manis and Cindy Blair of Elk Creek. It was their 21st on August 6.

Randall, Rosemary, Tyler and Morgan Rowe of Caudills Branch went to Tennessee over the weekend. They were going to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg.

Connie Cornett of Blackey said her husband Carlos is home from a Lexington hospital. He had an aneurysm in his head and had to have surgery. He is doing better. He has a little fluid buildup, but they said that was normal.

Happy birthday to Autumn Madden of Crases Branch. She turned 5 on July 27 but they had her party last weekend. She is the daughter of Tim and Donella Madden and has a sister, Summer, and a brother, Blake.

Bryan Packard of Richmond, formerly of Carcassonne, is serving in the Army. His rank is staff sergeant. his wife Deborah and his family here on the mountain want him to know how very proud they are of him. Everyone should be proud of him and all the men and woman who are serving.

Congratulations to Mary Caudill and Brandon Williams on the birth of their son. Evan Skylar was born on August 6. He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. Mary is the daughter of Ralph and Lisa Walters.
