Neon’s First Church of God Pastor Mark Wagoner, also a Neon Community Lions Club member, talked about “Blue Bag Sunday” as part of a November Sunday sermon. The environmental project, sponsored by the Lions Club, calls for all Letcher County residents to be good stewards of the land and get involved in recycling. Each congregation member received a complimentary blue bag from Wal-Mart Manager Steve Meeks, and a pamphlet from Gary Cornett of the Letcher County Recycling Center providing more information on recycling.
