I have talked to a lot of anglers that have had some good bass fishing trips already on lakes in Kentucky and Tennessee.
I have not got to go yet but would like to soon.
I just came back from the East Kentucky Boat and RV Show in Pikeville at the Expo Center. I have been to every single one of them and look forward to going each year.
This year the weather was cold and rainy and that made it harder to look at the campers outside, but inside was warm and dry. There was some fishing and hunting stuff for sale and a lot of info booths. I bought some nice crappie baits to use soon.
On the big floor in the arena there were lots of pontoon boats, bass boats and fishing boats to look at. There were a lot of fourwheelers and side-by-sides to look at. There were a few motorcycles, but there were all types and sizes of campers. We always go through them and see what is new.
We always have a great time each year.
This is the time of year that the bass will move more shallow and will be more active. Look for bass feeding close to the surface and try small shad-colored crank baits or small spinners.
Get out and try to have some fun.
