Book brings back memories and tears

Well, all the prayers that have been prayed for Brandon Robinson since he posted his diagnosis on social media are working. He posted after his appointment, his doctor is optimistic since he has done so well since his last surgery. He thinks he can use a special medicine that will make the same area light up while he’s taking out the cancer so he can make sure he gets everything. The surgery is scheduled for September 1.

Brandon also thanked everyone for the prayers and the continued support. We are so happy for this wonderful news and just pray that God will continue to bless him.

Congratulations to Simon and Cheyenne Christon. They were married Saturday, August 14. I attended the wedding with my good friend, Linda Buttrey. It was an outside wedding and took place on top of a mountain on DQ Farm Road in Knott County. It kind of reminded me of the view from Faith Ministries at the beginning of the Little Shepherd Trail. Anyway, we prayed that it wouldn’t rain, but we should have prayed for some kind of clouds other than rain clouds. I loved getting to see some of Letcher Independent Baptist members that have moved away like Don and Kyra Stepp, and Scott and Caren Crawford McCracken. It was a beautiful wedding.

My brother Albert, Mom, and I sat out on the back porch this evening and read through a memory book that Mom had filled out many years ago.
