The Mountain Shrine Club has bought children’s books based on raptors at the Letcher County Wildlife Center to be placed in the elementary school libraries. Clockwise from back, left are: Shriners Jeffrey Williams and Anthony Cornett, authors Mitch Whitaker, Shirley B. Sexton, and Grayson Holbrook and elementary school librarian Krystal Quillen. Sale of the books goes to cover the cost of printing. The first books are called the Adventures of General Boone, General Boone and Grayson’s Adventures in Letcher County, and A Visit with the Barred Owl Family.
