Brack Sexton loses sister in accident

Big Cowan

I met a man last week from Brownsburg, Ind., who is planning on relocating to Cowan in the near future. I forgot his name, but we want to welcome him to our community. He is engaged to Dale Caudill’s stepdaughter, Lisa. They are both real nice, and I hope to get to know them better.

Not a whole lot has been going on, just out and about to yard sales when it’s dry enough.

Brack Sexton lost his sister, Ada Maloney, last week in a car accident. Everyone seemed to like her a lot, and she sang at the nursing home with Brack. Melinda Daniel, her niece, is taking it really hard. Keep her and the rest of Ada’s family in your prayers.

The benefit singing and dinner went well this past Saturday night. Some of the singers were Thelma Bates, Bobby Bates, Wayne Turner and Phil from the ‘Blessed Friends’, ‘The Happy Notes’ and another man (I can’t recall his name), Terry Branham, and others.

We had a real Holy Ghost-filled house. God blessed in many ways. Even my sister, Kathy, was there. She’s doing better, but still needs our prayers.

All my family seem to be doing okay this week.

Mary Ann Maggard has been in the hospital. We wish her a speedy recovery.
