Brice and Jo Ann Baker celebrate their 44th wedding anniversary

Thank God for the rain we received. Our plants were looking droopy.

Anna Mae Craft called and we had a nice visit. She is having some health problems but says she is getting better. Our prayers are with Anna.

I also had a phone visit with Patty Breshears. She is enjoying her granddaughter during the summer break from school.

Brice and Jo Ann Baker recently celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary and we wish them many more years.

Our daughter-in-law, Jennifer, came in for the visitation and funeral for Jesse Holbrook. Jesse was the husband of her first cousin, Edwina. Our sympathy to Edwina, Jordan, Christian and all of Jesse’s family.

Jennifer, Jared and Ethan stayed several days. We sure enjoyed their visit. Tommy and Billie had them part of the time and I’m sure they enjoyed them also.

Opal Fouts has been canning up a storm. She is always cooking up some great food and she shares with others at the center. We are her test tasters.

Jennifer, Jared, Ethan and I visited with Landon Sexton and Ann Thomas for a short time. Landon is doing some better.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Linda Kay Potter. Linda had surgery recently.

Darlene Pettibone called. She said they were all OK. She said Jack and Jeremy Wright had come down for Raymond’s wedding and that really pleased them so much.

We are planning a big to-do at the center and as soon as all the details are in place I will let you know. I encourage everyone to visit their center. There are always enjoyable things going on.

Happy birthday to Kendall DeWayne Combs, grandson of Brenda Seals, also birthday wishes to Carolyn Hurt and to Ron Isaac. I won’t tell how old Ron will be but he will be the legal speed limit.

Debbie Isaac enjoyed a weekend in Pigeon Forge with her sister, Linda. They enjoyed shopping. Debbie said she had better luck at the yard sales.
