Brocks are doing better

Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well and enjoying the pretty weather.

I was so sorry I didn’t get to the funeral of Viola “Buggie” Sexton. She was one of our Marlowe girls. We’ve lost a lot of them, and we miss them.

We had a great Easter service at our church, and an Easter egg hunt for our kids. We had a lot of them, and all dressed up.

I enjoyed going to the home of Maggie Cook after church. I love going over there. She always has a lot of Easter decorations all over the place.

There was a large crowd there, almost all of her family. I was especially glad to see her sister Carol Johnson there. She had recently lost her husband, Jimmy Johnson. I enjoyed everyone and we had a good time and also some great food. They have good cooks!

I even enjoyed playing with their two little dogs. They followed me because I slipped them some food.

I’m glad Bro. Earnest Brock got out of the hospital. I had a nice visit with him and Kathleen, and also my brother Jack Howard was there on Friday.

Late happy birthday wishes to Deana Brown Wright on the 7th from your Nanny Hatton.

My grandson Dr. Jonathan Hatton and wife Andrea and their two children, Kate and John Luke, and Billy Hatton and wife Sandr, were dog sitting for their two cute little dogs. I had a little visit with them.

We had a baked spaghetti dinner sale at our church and it went really well. We have some really good cooks there. I’m sorry I’m not one, but I love to eat there.

I know you are not going to believe this, but I enjoyed a nice visit with my dentis, Dr. David Narramore last Friday. We can always find this to talk about. He knows about all my family. I like him and all of his workers there. I talked to all of them, and they are so nice.

I went to have a tooth pulled and didn’t want to go. Dr. Narramore won the battle and I lost a tooth.

Our church is really looking forward to our revival with Bro. Jimmy Jewell, that started on Monday, April 13, through Friday. We’ve had him before and we really enjoyed him and his wife.

I hope we have a good turnout. So many of our people are sick and we hope they will get better.

My four sons are getting ready for their Bristol races next weekend. I think they’ve been going for a lot of years and they really enjoy it. That’s about the only time they can all get together.

They all stay at their brother Larry’s camper for three days.

The weather is so nice and everything is blooming. My snowball bush is so pretty. I love this time of year.

I miss my cousin Ida Hatton. She sits with me at church, and now she’s gone to visit her daughter and grandchildren. Her husband is in the service.

I don’t know if he’s home or not, she didn’t get a chance to tell me.

I hope she doesn’t stay long and I’m sure her husband Roger hopes so too, but he is such a good husband. I know he misses her.

Bro. Earnest Brock and wife Kathleen seemed to be feeling better. I try to check on them every day.

My brother Hubert and wife Joyce have not been feeling well. I wasn’t able to reach them.

There’s not much going on this week. May God bless all of you; try to be in church somewhere this week if you are able.
