Businessman is sentenced to 30 months

A federal judge has sentenced Isom business owner Jarrod C. Breeding to 30 months in prison for underreporting his income by more than $5 million over a three-year period.

Jarrod C. Breeding, 38, will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before being released, according to a release from the United States Attorney’s Office. Breeding pleaded guilty in November to making false statements on his tax returns.

A federal grand jury indicted Breeding May 12, 2016, on charges of perjury for under reporting his cash receipts, and evading federal banking laws by structuring deposits to prevent showing cash transactions of more than $10,000.
