Busy week ahead

Bach Court

Fall is here! Leaves are turning colors. It’s perfect weather for walking. Myself and Lydia Hall make our rounds every evening.

Thelma Brown has been sick and in the hospital at Pikeville. She’s home now and doing really good.

My new grandson is doing great. He’s getting a little chunky, but he’s just fitting in newborns now. He was born July 31, and Momma Wendy is doing well also.

Cody and Gabbie Baker moved to Neon. We sure miss you all and the new baby.

First Baptist Church has a lot going on this week with the Seed Project. Every day this week we have something going on, something great.

Here’s a list of all the events this week:

Wednesday, Sept. 18, Trash pick-up around town. Time: To be determined. Description: picking up trash all through town.

Thursday, Sept. 19, Providing lunch for students at Southeast. Time: 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Description: Preparing a meal to feed around 100 students at Southeast Community College.

Friday, Sept. 20. Housing Authority cookout. Time: 5 to 7 p.m. Description: Having a cookout and fellowship with the residents of the Housing Authority.

Saturday, Sept. 21. Letcher Manor Fellowship. Time: 2 to 4 p.m. Description: Playing board games and fellowshipping with the residents of the Housing Authority.

Not really a whole lot going on, but I’ll try and put a little something in each week.

It’s truly been a busy, hectic summer with never a dull moment. I can’t wait to see what fall brings.

Until next time, God bless.
