Although the Sapling Center on Main Street in Whitesburg has been open for several months, the youth-service agency made it official last week. Pictured, director of transitional age youth Angie Bush (left) talks with program assistant Ashley Collier at the grand reopening on April 17. The Sapling Center, which is run by Kentucky River Community Care, provides a place for young people ages 14-25 to meet, learn to write resumes, and develop coping skills from an on-site therapist. The center also provides food, showers, and an on-site laundry. The center was at Pine Mountain Junction before it moved downtown. (Photo by Sam Adams)
