Center plans canned food and coat drive



Fleming-Neon Senior Citizens Center news

Our center is having a canned food drive and a coat drive for seniors who are in need. Donations of canned goods and/or coats may be dropped off at the center during our regular hours of operation (listed below).

Regular Bingo: Fridays at 10:30.

Rook and checkers played daily.

Exercise equipment available daily.

The Fleming-Neon Senior Center is open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. on weekdays. Lunch is served from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. For more information, call (606) 855- 7567.

Getting Started Workshop/ Beginners Jam on Wednesday, Nov. 18, will be held from 5- 6 p. m. Come sing and play with us.

Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m., Cross Country Bluegrass will be back to give us a heaping helping of bluegrass and country favorites. Come on out and heat up on our dance floor on a cold night. We’ll steam up the windows in the old school. Never a dull moment at our place.

Dec. 18: Cross Country Bluegrass.

Dec. 25: Dawson Creek.

Special Event: Thursday, Dec. 31, from 9 p.m.- 12 midnight: New Year’s Eve party, $10 admission with food and drinks included. Party foods and punch.

Friday, Jan. 1: Will Caudill and RT 7.

Friday Nite Pickin’, kids get in free when accompanied by an adult. Open mic at intermission. Target audience country, folk, bluegrass, Americana. Family friendly environment.
