The Letcher County Little League 11-Year-Old Division All-Stars brought the Little League Softball State Championship crown home on Sunday, winning the tournament at StoneCrest Sports Complex in Prestonsburg, while the Letcher County Little League 12-Year-Old Division All-Stars were runners-up in their group. The team of 11-year-olds defeated the all-stars from North Oldham on both Saturday and Sunday to go undefeated in the tournament and clinch the championship. The 11-Year-Old All-Stars (pictured, top left) are Katie Combs, Brenda Blevins, Khloee Sexton, Addison Collier, Gabby Johnson, Lauren Richardson, Kennedy Sexton, Kaleigh Sturgill and Bella Holbrook. The team is coached by, at far right, Head Coach Roger Collier and assistant coaches, from left, Mike Sexton and David Combs, as well as Assistant Coach Brandie Collier, who is not pictured. The Letcher County Little League 12-Year-Old Division All-Stars (pictured, bottom left) bounced back after falling to Marion County in the opening game on Saturday to eliminate North Laurel later in the day. They opened play on Sunday by defeating North Oldham and advancing to the championship game, where they fell again to Marion County.
