Charlie Hatton hospitalized in Lexington

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing okay.

Are you enjoying blackberry winter, if that’s what it is. It has been cold and rainy, but we shouldn’t complain when we see all that’s going on in Mississippi and all the states around there. That is so sad!

I was so sorry not to get to go to Coleda Sturgill’s funeral. Our radio was out and I didn’t hear about it until the next day. Our sympathy goes out to Joella and Johnny Sturgill and all the family.

Ida and Roger Hatton are back home from Florida. Their daughter Misty Jones was expecting a baby, and they stayed until the baby was born. Whitesburg

Our pastor Bro. John Conn and wife Alicia have gone on a week’s vacation and to visit their son Daniel Conn and his family, and to do some fishing. They stay so busy they need that and we are all glad they got to go. I hope they enjoy themselves.

My great-grandson Sam Mullins had a birthday May 10, I think. He will be having a party on Saturday, and I plan to go.

It was nice seeing Chester Lee Niece and his wife Joyce at the hospital visiting her sister Aggie Hatton last Thursday. I think he was going to have a heart cath the next day, and I hope everything went well.

Aggie got out of the hospital Friday and the same evening her husband Charlie Hatton had a heart attack. He is in a Lexington hospital and may have to have heart surgery. He needs everyone’s prayers. I hope he is doing okay. It will be hard to keep him down. He is a hard worker.

Also remember Roland Brown’s wife Ruth. She has some health problems.

It was good seeing Carl Boggs at Food City last week. I hadn’t seen him in a long time, and he looked good.

It was good hearing from Audrey Pigman. She was trying to find out about a Will Martin who lived at Caudill Town in 1939. I didn’t move here until 1941.

I did find out about a William Martin who lived there. He married Bethel Hart. I don’t know if this is the one or not. Call me back and we’ll talk again.

I think my son Rob, from Owensboro, is coming to visit me this weekend. That always makes me happy. They will always be my little boys.

I hope that everyone had a great Mother’s Day. I sure did. I had all of my sons and some of their families and grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. It doesn’t get much better than that.

I have enjoyed all my family over the weekend. I have weddings, graduations and baby showers coming up, and also a Mother’s Day party at Parkway Restaurant with daughter-in-law Sandra on Tuesday. That’s always fun.

May God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere this week.
