Chestnut Festival planned




The seventh annual Ameårican Chestnut Festival is set for 1 to 10:30 p.m. on Oct. 8 at the Kingdom Come Community Center at Linefork. The event will include arts and crafts, a stiroff, basket making, cornmeal grinding and games. Food will be catered by the Letcher County Shriners.

Performing musicians include Wolf Creek Grass, Mountain Melody, Mikey Tolliver, Shawn Stamper, Taylyn Combs, Whitney Stamper and Jack Adams and the Highway 160 Country Show. Music will be from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. inside the auditorium.

The Kingdom Come Community Center is located on Hwy 160 at Linefork in Letcher County. It is also known as the old Kingdom Come Elementary School. Call (606) 589-2124 or (606) 279-5758 for more information.
