Childen keeping busy with Christmas gifts

Bardstown

Hello from Bardstown. This has been an activity-filled time. Several tourists have flocked to the area to see the town decorated for Christmas and shop the historic downtown Third Street stores.

My mom Judy Branham my grandma Inez Hampton and stepdad Rick Branham came to Bardstown to have Christmas with the kids and spend the night with us.

They left early Sunday morning and just happened to miss the snow that came through Eolia before they got back to town.

The kids are enjoying their vacation and will have plenty of new gifts to keep them occupied and give us plenty of quality family time. The kids are very excited about the new year.

On Dec. 21, Tim Gaffney was found dead in his apartment. Tim was handicapped and could be seen regularly walking his small dog using his “Rascal” scooter.

Hannah and Brandon Benellis are expecting a baby. Hannah is 12 weeks pregnant and the couple is very excited. Amanda St. Clair had her baby on Dec. 2. It is a boy.

A couple of viruses are making their way around town. One is a cold and the other is a stomach virus. School doesn’t resume until Jan. 5.

Congratulations to Sheldon and Stacy Sturgill. They welcomed their fourth son into the world on Dec. 21. Stacy gave birth to a boy in Oklahoma when she was visiting her parents. Sheldon traveled down to be with them and was on his way there when the baby was born.

Happy birthdays go out to Jeff Lester Sr. Dec. 28, Melissa Day Dec. 30, Fairly Lewis Dec. 31 and Phillip Clarkson on Jan. 5. Jessica Rayburn will be 9 on Jan. 7.

I suppose that is all the news for this week. Everyone have a blessed merry Christmas and a very happy New Year.
