Janice and Ron Wolod visited on Cowan on their way back to Maryland after visiting in Atlanta with their daughter Kim and family. Their granddaughter, Emma Kate, 13, had a singing part in her middle school play, “Seussical,” a musical based on stories by Dr. Seuss. While there they also enjoyed having lunch with their granddaughter Anneliese at her elementary school.
Virginia Brown had an enjoyable afternoon when a friend from her youth, Danola Atkins Andrews, along with Imogene Adkins, Linda Combs and Linda Lucas all came to visit.
Virginia had a good Mother’s Day with calls, cards, flowers and gifts from her three sons. Stephen came in from Blountville for church and dinner with her.
Eula and Randy Brown went to Fall Branch, Tenn., where Jason and Amanda cooked a good Mother’s Day dinner for them. Cowan
Carol Caudill, her daughter Jill Kent, granddaughter Cara Eskew and daughter- in- law Sherry Brown all had a fun girls’ day out to celebrate Mother’s Day and Cara and Sherry’s birthdays. They went shopping, had lunch, and got pedicures.
We are happy that a mother duck and her ducklings have taken up residence in our pond.
