Christine, James Fields mark 43rd anniversary

Big Cowan

Hello everyone. Hoping all had a good Christmas and glad we are all still here. I never believed the world would end on Dec. 21. The Bible says no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, only God knows.

Hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful snow. It was pretty but ready for it to move on.

My cousin Nancy Fields Boggs ran into my sister Kathy and brother-in-law Eddie. She said that two of her brothers-in-law Nathanial and Billy Jr. Boggs both died within a few minutes of each other. Nancy’s husband Taft Boggs is not doing very well and needs our prayers as well as her sister Katherine. Keep all their family in prayers.

I made a mistake in last week’s paper. Delzie Banks’s birthday was Dec. 18 instead of Dec. 16. Sorry for the mistake.

My husband and I had a good 43rd anniversary despite the snow and cold. We went out to dinner at Pine Mountain Grill.

The Santa truck train came down Cowan on Saturday, and made lots of kids happy.

Not much been happening this past week so this will be kinda short. May God bless each and every one of you as we plan on going into the new year. Attend the church of your choice. Keep someone in prayer.

Remember Michael Rayburn’s family, Bill Maggard’s family and all those lost loved ones and still remember the families of those killed in the Connecticut shooting. Such a sad time for all during the holidays.

Until next time.
