For many years we have had Christmas on the hill at the Old Indian Bottom Church building at the Frog Pond at Blackey. We are blessed to have it again this year.
Ron Short and friends from Virginia and the Appalshop have been faithful to attend every year, and it is such fun with the Christmas caroling and storytelling.
The old church building is over 100 years old and it is still standing and in fairly good condition.
The road to the old building is in good shape and there are plenty of parking spaces. It is a good place to plan to attend to feel the old time Christmas spirit on Friday, Dec. 16, at 6 p.m.
Bring finger food and your drinks, but please come and listen to the Christmas music, and to hear stories told about Christmas past. It really is a special place to go.
It’s not fancy, just very special. So come on Friday, Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. and enjoy the music and fun.
