On Saturday, Nov. 24, there will be a live Nativity on the Miniard Farm at Leatherwood. This event is hosted by local churches.
At 2 p.m. you can hear a narrator read from the Bible about that very first Christmas, when Jesus was born. While he’s reading, live actors will reenact the events depicted in the Holy Bible.
After the reenactment, you and your family members can ride festively-decorated wagons across the farm. Your destination is the barn, where you’ll get to view the live Nativity.
There will also be carolers, free food for all, and an old-fashioned cabin for older people to visit.
At some point, Santa and his elves will make an appearance and distribute a small gift to each child in attendance.
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend this fun-filled, family-friendly event.
