Lewis Creek Pentecostal Church will host a missions conference December 8 to 12 at its church in Partridge. The meeting, Project PREACH, is the first in a series of events conducted by World Missions to Asia ( WMA) as it develops a global curriculum for world missions.
Ministers from several states will deliver 20 lessons and/or messages pertaining to the Deity and the life of Jesus Christ. Each sermon will be professionally recorded in video and audio formats. They will then be transcribed, edited, and compiled into booklet form. The final step will be the translation of all materials into multiple languages and dialects for the missionaries to use.
WMA Executive Director Fred J. Wynn stated, “We are excited to embark upon this new project. After five years in the mission fields, we believe this educational program will be a vital and useful tool for missionaries everywhere.
Project PREACH will kick off with a banquet at Benham School House Inn on Monday evening before the conference begins Tuesday morning at 8 o’clock. Those attending the conference will hear up to five sermons per day covering the two themes, Christ and the life of Christ. Pastor Ron Oplinger and congregation invite everyone to come.
There is no admission fee. The expense for this conference is covered by individual sponsorships in the amount of $60. Sponsors will receive a complete set of CDs of all sermons presented that week. Individuals wishing to become a sponsor may contact Paul or Roberta Pratt at (606) 848- 2562. For more information about Project PREACH, visit www.worldmissionstoasia.com.
