Hello everyone! Hoping all is well. Lots of rain in the past week, which is O.K. if it wasn’t so humid afterward. Rain was cool and felt good to walk in.
Some of the churches got together at the walking track for a three-night revival. I was able to go Thursday night. They had a wonderful service and good singing. It is good to see God’s people come together and worship together.
King’s Chapel had a homecoming service at Carr Fork on Sunday. The heavy rain has been holding off until the services were done.
Went to funeral visitations last week. Larry Fields was at Kingscreek Church. He was the son of the late Jeanette and Jim Fields. Prayers for all his family.
Nettie Webb was at Lighthouse Church at Sandlick. She was the mother of James Webb, a young man in our church, and the wife of Joe Webb. Our sympathy goes to the family.
Hello to Bonnie Ingram, who writes for the paper. Thanks for being worried about me. My house phone is out of order. If you would like to call my cell phone, the number is 335-7066. Hope you are doing well. This moving is a challenge. Be glad when I finally get there and get settled. Will miss my family and friends and these beautiful mountains. I will be back to visit and stay a few days at a time unless I sell Mike’s building.
Also, a big shout-out to Oma Hatton. Glad she is doing better and back to writing. Missed you.
My brother Archie is doing better. He is at Letcher Manor for rehab. Hope he gets his strength built up and can walk on his own again. Keep him in prayer.
Thanks to my neighbor and friend Velda Dollarhide Fraley for the bowl of soup. It was really good and I appreciate you for being such a good neighbor.

My son James Michael “Mike” will be 45 years old on Aug. 26. It’s hard to believe I am old enough to be his mother. LOL. I was almost 20 years old when he was born. He was and still is a blessing. I am proud to be his mom and being a mother for the first time helped me to mature fast. Where has the time gone? Love you, son, and I thank God for you.
Congrats to my namesake Loretta Christine Goedeker on her marriage last week in Charlestown, Ind. Hope she will be very happy.
Well, guess I will get off here and turn this in.
Hello to Shelby Bockover in Greensburg, Ind. I have been busy and lots of phone problems. Sorry I did not get back to you. Hopefully I will see you soon.
Have a great week. Attend the church of your choice. Pray for someone including me.
Until next time. Smile, makes people wonder what you are up to.
