The Workforce Solutions Office of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College will offer workshops and a class.
On Sept. 7, a class on digital photography will be presented by photographer Jennifer McDaniels. The class will be held from 1-3 p.m. on the Cumberland campus, room 111 of Chrisman Hall.
The fee is $20. Participants will be introduced digital photography with an emphasis on camera basics and functions, terminology, composition, lighting, shooting techniques as well as a beginner’s glance at Photoshop. Participants are to bring their cameras.
A worship entitled ‘Test Taking Skills and Test Anxiety,’ will be presented from 10-11:30 a.m. on Sept. 13. SKCTC faculty member Erin Reasor will conduct this free seminar that will deal with ways of overcoming test anxiety and how to grasp more fully course materials. The session will be held on the Cumberland campus.
College counselor Sherry Tinsley will lead a seminar on Sept. 20 from 10-11:30 a.m. ‘Understanding Stress and How to Cope” is the title, and during the program she will work with participants in overcoming stress in their everyday lives as well as in the classroom; various coping strategies will also be taught. The charge for the workshop is $12, and the class will be at the Cumberland campus.
