Clinton Banks turns 3 years old

Cowan

Clinton Banks had his third birthday party at Cowan Community Center on Nov. 16. His cousins, Ella and Callie Akers from Tennessee came to his party. All of his cousins who live close were also there.

Clinton’s brother, Cooper, also enjoyed the food and all of his cousins and family. Clinton’s mother and grandmothers had lots of good food.

Clinton and Cooper are the sons of Clayton and Katie Banks of Cowan; grandsons of John and Barbara Banks of Cowan, Becky Collins of Cowan and Norman Collins of Cumberland; and great-grandsons of Jenny Maggard and Jim and Betty Brashears.

Visiting Bennett and Linda Combs of Ice last weekend were their daughter, Regina Stines, granddaughter Christina Bolton, and great-granddaughter Addiyln Balton, who is 2½ years old.

Linda Combs wishes a happy birthday to Ronnie Brown of Cowan on Nov. 17; Patsy Nance on Nov. 15; Arminta Jenkins on Nov. 22; Lillian Boggs of Dry Fork on Nov. 24; and Jessica Boggs on Nov. 26.

Virginia Brown had much of her family with her last weekend. Her three sons, Joe Myrel of Mississippi, Steven of Tennessee, and Randy and Eula who live next door, were all there. Also their granddaughter Jenny Lou and children Jon, Crystal and Destiny; grandson Robert with Sherry and sons Bradley and Joseph; grandson Jason, Amanda and Eli.

Also visiting were nieces Verna Rayburn, Linda Lucas and Carol Caudill. Everyone enjoyed visiting and watching the old home movies that Jenny had transferred to DVDs.

It was an early Thanksgiving celebration.
