Check out our Facebook page for announcements and pictures posted after each event, www.facebook.com/ pages/ Hemphill- Community-Center.

We hosted a meeting led by Ben Fink of Appalshop on Monday last week. Community leaders from all over Letcher County were in attendance. We are happy be a part of what is happening in the county. More on that later . . .

The Senior Fellowship gathers every Tuesday. Those 60 and over are invited to attend. The food is good, the fellowship is precious, and the friends are beautiful inside and out. You will be a welcome addition.

Friday Nite Pickin’ was rowdy, just the way we like it.

Happy birthday to our own Wayne from Craft’s Colly. The celebration for Wayne was sweet and we all enjoyed ourselves.

Coach and Jackie literally hit the floor. Check out the pictures. The antics of these two had us rolling.

Schedule of events:

April 29, Sunrise Ridge will be on hand to tickle our ears with sweet ballads for two-stepping/waltzing and also rollicking bluegrass flat footing tunes. There are five Fridays this month so don’t forget to come out and hear this dynamic group. The singing is great and the music is spot on. You sure don’t want to miss it. You will be smiling all evening. How long has it been since that happened?
