Colin Campbell rites are held

Colin Campbell, 57, of Cornettsville, died March 3 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

He was a son of Hester Eldridge Campbell and the late Evans Campbell.

Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Vonetta Bailey Campbell; a son, Joseph Campbell and wife Teresa, Cornettsville; a daughter, Veronica Slone and husband Larry, Cornettsville; five sisters, Connie Campbell and Martha Bailey, both of Cornettsville, Pat Ison and Peggy Back, both of Hallie, and Loretta Holbrook, Leatherwood; eight grandchildren, Conley, Dharma, Cierra, Caitlyn, Jimmi Lynn, Roger, Jonathan and Sarah, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 6 at Cedar Grove Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in Hiram Campbell Cemetery at Cornettsville.

Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of the arrangements.
