Happy birthday wishes to Jacob Cornett, who will be four years old on Sept. 30. Also to his mother Christina Crawford on Oct. 2, and Michael Finchum of Louis- ville on Oct. 3.

Happy anniversary to David and Jennifer Combs on Sept. 29.

Bennett and Linda Combs visited their daughters and their families this past week.

In Louisville, Bennett and Watson visited with their brother, Shade Combs Jr. and Mary.

The next day they toured the George Patton Museum at Ft. Knox. In Berea, they visited Regina, Christina, Jacob and Kylie.

Robert Bennett Crawford came over for awhile. He and Christina both attend Eastern Kentucky University.

Doris Banks of the Food City Floral Department informs us that Josephine Banks of UZ has had a sick spell. She fell and broke her hip and shoulder. She has had a hip replacement, and is in Pikeville Hospital. We hope she gets well soon.

Little Mason Lucas is having a tonsillectomy this week.

Ron and Janice Wolod are spending a few days on Cowan. They are on their way home to Maryland after visiting their daughter Kim and family in Douglasville, Ga. Before that, they had taken a pleasant and interesting trip to Oregon.

Duane and Anna Yonts have been visiting with Russell and Minerva Yonts in Indiana. While there, they went on a bus tour with 29 relatives and church friends to Columbus, Oh., to see the U.S. Army’s Spirit of America. Minerva and Russell’s son, Retired Colonel Jim Yonts, had obtained tickets for them all.

It was a highly entertaining, inspiring and patriotic program of historical reenactments, drills, musical performances featuring the U.S. Army’s Band, ‘Pershing’s Own,’ and the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard).
