November 26 — Cross Country Bluegrass will play at Country Cabin II in Norton, Va. The show will take place from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children 2 to 11 years old.

. December 3-4 —Frontier Christmas will be held in Washington, Ky., from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day with a tour of five museums at 5 p.m. on Saturday. The event will include music with bagpipe, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, dulcimer and carolers. In the tour, Christmas story will be read from an old Bible, there will be

a demonstration of a long rifle, and early toys will be displayed. Washington is now part of Maysville, and is on US 68, 50 miles northeast of Lexington. For more information, contact Elaine Cotton at phyllis@maysvilleky.net.

. December 9 — The Letcher County Extension Office will sponsor a holiday bazaar at the County Extension Office in Whitesburg from noon to 9 p.m. Attendance is free to the public. Crafts, gift ideas, lovingly used holiday ornaments and decorations, bake sale items

and handmade items will be available. Soup and salads will be for sale. Groups and individuals may reserve tables for $10. For more information or to reserve a table, call 633-2362.

. December 11 — The annual presentation of The Nativity Play will be held at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Pine Mountain Settlement School Chapel. Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for special Christmas music. A reception will be held in Laurel House following each performance. Everyone is invited to attend.
