January 25 — The Blackey Library Book Club will discuss “Re Jane” by Patricia Park at 6 p.m.

. January 25 — Appalachian Strings will play at Country Cabin II in Norton, Va., from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children 2 to 11 years old.

. January 26 — The LEGO Club will meet at 3:30 p.m. at the Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library in Whitesburg.

. January 31 — “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” will be shown at 5 p.m. on Movie Night at the Harry M. Caudill Memorial Library in Whitesburg.

. February 3 — Walk Your Way to Better Health, an 11-week, free program, will be held at 1 p.m. at the Whitesburg Extension Office. Indoor walking with a video at your own pace.

Nutritional and physical information will be available. Participants will turn in physical activity log sheet to be entered in a prize drawing. For more information, call 633-2362.

. February 6 — Make-n- Take Valentine’s Day Wreath at 11 a.m. at the Extension Office in Whitesburg. All materials will be provided, and attendees must preregister by February 3. For more information, call 633- 2362.

. February 11 — At noon, Homemaker Lunch- n- Learn, Heart Disease. Natasha Lucas, Owsley, will present this program. A light lunch will be served. Pre-register by February 2. For more information, call 633-2362..

. February 13 — At 1 p.m., sewing workshop at the Letcher County Extension Office in Whitesburg to make a microwave bowl holder. Must pre-register by February 9.
