. June 28 — National Black Lung Association will meet at 2 p.m. at the Letcher County Extension Office. Staff of the Respiratory Clinics of Eastern Kentucky and attorneys will provide information and answer questions. Retired and active miners, widows, spouses and others interested in working with the National Black Lung Association to improve the black lung laws for miners and their dependents are requested to attend. . July 15-16 — The Kingscreek Music Festival at Kingscreek Community Park, Hwy. 160, beginning at 6 p.m. Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday. Performers are Will Caudill and Route 7, the Country Troubadours, Sunrise Ridge, Dean Osborne Band, Mountain Melody and Cross Country Bluegrass.
