March 30 — Spring Fling at the Letcher County Extension Office on Stone Avenue in Whitesburg will be held on from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will include 20 arts and crafts tables with wood products, candles, woodwork and local vendors including Mary Kay, Colorstreet, Norwax, Lip Sense, Plyunder, Posh, Doterra, Lularo, Tupperware, Agnes and Dora Clothing and Naked Makeup. There will be homemade goods and hotdog dinners available for $5. Proceeds will go to Letcher County Homemakers. For more Information, call 633-2362.

April 3 — “Linefork”, a film about Lee and Opal Sexton, will be screened and a conversation with the filmmaker will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gallery of Hazard Community and Technical College School of Craft (located in the old high school). For more information, call (606) 785-5475.

April 4 — A community square dance will be held from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the gallery of Hazard Community and Technical College School of Craft (located in the old high school). All dances will be taught. No experience or partner needed. For more information, call (606) 785-5475.

April 4 — A healthy baby workshop, hosted by Kentucky

River Community Care Regional Prevention Center, and KY-Moms Maternal Assistance Towards Recovery, will be held at 12 p.m. at the Letcher County Health Department, 115 East Main Street in Whitesburg. The event will include information about having a healthy baby, a $25 Family Dollar gift card, and lunch. The workshop is open to pregnant women and those up to two months postpartum in Letcher and surrounding counties, and you must bring proof of pregnancy. April 7 — The Letcher County Mountain Crawlers will host a charity ATV ride with proceeds going to I Can Services, Inc. Registration is at 9 a.m. and the ride leaves at 10 a.m. from Sandlick Fire Department. Food and 50/50 chances available. Donations appreciated. June 22- 23 — The Whitesburg High School Class Of 1968 will hold its 50th class reunion. A cookout is planned For June 22 and a dinner on June 23. Letters have been mailed.
