Contestants sought for pageant




Contestants are being sought to compete in the 2015 Miss Southeast Scholarship Pageant to be held Saturday, Feb. 7, at 6: 30 p.m. in the auditorium at the Letcher County Central High School.

Southeast female students who are enrolled full time and have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or better are invited to compete for the title. The winner will receive a tuition scholarship for one semester and valued at $1,000 and will represent the college at the Kentucky Mountain Laurel Festival to be held Memorial Day weekend at Pine Mountain State and Resort Park at Pineville.

Contestants will be judged on poise, talent, interview, on-stage answer to a question and evening gown appearance. Awards will be issued to the winner, runner-up, first runner-up, talent winner and Miss Congeniality.

Applications are available at any of the SKCTC admissions offices located at the campuses in Whitesburg, Cumberland, Harlan, Pineville and Middlesboro.
