Cops say 2 conspired to grow pot here

Two men have been charged with conspiring to grow 100 or more marijuana plants in Letcher County in 2006.

Roger Neil Polly, who was arrested in Georgia in September, is charged with conspiring with Herman Polly to grow the marijuana.

The case against Roger Polly was unsealed in U.S. District Court in Pikeville earlier this month. The Appalachian News-Express of Pikeville has reported that Herman Polly pleaded not guilty to the charges in June and has filed notice of an alibi witness. Both men, charged with conspiracy to manufacture marijuana, possession of marijuana and manufacturing marijuana, are scheduled for trial in January.
