Cordle to perform at Bluegrass Express Live

WMMT’s ‘Bluegrass Express Live’ will present eastern Kentucky native Larry Cordle and his band Lonesome Standard Time in the Appalshop Theater in Whitesburg on February 4. The show will also be broadcast live on ‘Bluegrass Express Live’. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the performance will start at 7:30 p.m.

In 1999, Cordle decided to reform the band and with the newly assembled Lonesome Standard Time, released ‘Murder on Music Row’ in 2000. The project was nominated for another Grammy, reached number 1 on both the Americana and Bluegrass charts, and the title track was named Song of the Year by the Country Music Association and the International Bluegrass Music Association.

Lonesome Standard Time now includes Booie Beach on guitar, Kim Gardner on Dobro, Mike Anglin on bass, and Kristin Scott Benson on banjo.
