A 51-year-old woman from Letcher County has tested positive for Covid-19.
She is the fourth person in the county to test positive for the viral disease, but Kentucky River District Health Director Scott Lockard said he does not expect that she will be the last.
“We’re fully expecting to get more cases as Mountain Comp ramps up their testing,” Lockard said.
Mountain Comprehensive Health Corp. will have free drive-through testing at the old Whitesburg High School on College Drive and at its Harlan Clinic in Harlan on Friday, Saturday and Monday. More information on the testing can be found here:
Lockard said 32 people in the seven-county health district have tested positive for the coronavirus, with 29 recovered. The lastest woman to test positive here and an 83-year-old man who tested posItive yesterday in Perry County are both self-isolating at home.
