A story in last week’s edition of The Mountain Eagle contained an error in the sentencing of Clifford Jermaine Caudill, who pleaded guilty earlier this month to first-degree manslaughter in the shooting death of Ricky Allen Gibson in April 2018.
Caudill’s plea agreement calls for 15 years on the manslaughter charge, and an additionalfive in a different case involving contraband in the jail for a total of 20 years.

A story about an automobile accident last week erroneously listed the condition of the brother of a man killed in a car accident at Isom.
